These sheep are hand carved from the root of the giant bamboo, in a family based workshop.  The giant bamboo is plantation grown, and highly productive -  a 50-foot bamboo pole once harvested, can re-grow in 50 days.  The ears and legs are also hand carved, using off-cuts of teak bought as recycled waste from local furniture workshops.  The sheep are suitable for indoor and outdoor use, providing a guaranteed talking point!
